Students looked at a Wolf spider under a microscope.
Students made webs out of yarn and popsicle sticks, and cute spiders made from pipe-cleaners and a pom-pom.
Students made a "walking" spider with construction paper and a wooden skewer.
October 5th through the 11th was fire prevention week and our second-grade students had the privilege of learning about fire safety from our local firefighters. The firefighters not only shared valuable safety tips but also engaged students by allowing them to try on uniforms and operate a hose. One highlight was using a thermal imaging camera to locate a firefighter in a simulated dark environment. A heartfelt thank you to these dedicated professionals for their commitment to community safety and education!
