NEW SCHOOL RECORD! Breaking the former record of 49.68 set in 2023 by Katelynn Kratz, Makenna Schaaf, Abby Davis, and Ainsley Galyen.

This March/April our students participated in an exciting Picture Book Tournament—and it was a slam dunk for reading!
Students read or listened to two picture books and voted on their favorite in a fun, bracket-style competition. From the Sweet 16 all the way to the Championship Round, our readers were engaged, thoughtful, and enthusiastic about every matchup. They read, they voted, and in the end one book was crowned the 2025 Champion!
Thank you for encouraging reading at home and supporting a joyful learning experience!
Be sure to check out our bulletin board or photo to see the winning book and highlights from the tournament!

Junior High golf took second as a team in Summerland to begin their season. Makenzie Ruda led the way with a 5th place finish shooting 41. Ryan Havranek tied for 8th with a 42.

The WH golf team placed 3rd at the Summerland invitational. Individual results Dominick Ogden 5th, Cole Poessnecker T-8 and Nick Hansen T-11.

After reading an AOW about the benefits of spring, students had to write a persuasive paragraph about why they should get nature time in English. After a successful argument, one group chose to plant flowers, and another one decided to enjoy sunshine at Mill Race Park.

Congratulations, Trayton Olson. Trayton is planning on using his GI Bill to attend Mitchell Tech for Machining and Manufacturing and also Diesel AG Technology. We thank you for your service!

Reading makes you smarter! The fifth and sixth graders took advantage of the nice weather and headed outside to read!

Nancy Weber, aka Fancy Grandma Nancy, came to kindergarten as our next Mystery Reader to read "Fancy Nancy and the Delectable Cupcakes," by Jane O'Connor. After reading the story Nancy brought cupcakes to share her cake decorating talent with the students. Each student decorated a "delectable cupcake" to enjoy during snack time. The smiles on the students says it all, thank you Fancy Grandma Nancy!
