Lost & Found is growing. This crazy weather has caused our stash of lost and found to grow rapidly. Check with your kiddos if they are missing items. This is a great place to start looking.

Elevate 2025 is off and "rolling"! Our first lesson this year was on potential and kinetic energy. Students constructed cars and we've discovered that the current designs are either too heavy or that the "engines" are insufficient in generating the necessary force. We will refine our designs and see what happens!

For the last couple of weeks, the junior high students have been writing their persuasive speeches. To help us out, two high school speechsters gave their persuasive speeches for the 7th grade class. Senior, Lily V. performed her persuasive speech on the value of travel, and sophomore, Jacob P. explained the benefits of learning a foreign language.

We are so excited for the boys basketball team and want this upcoming week to be about them! But, with spring break and Husky help day on Monday, we know there will be questions about practice schedules and other things that 70+ kids will need to know and we won't see a lot of them until after school next Monday. While we are waiting to see how things play out, please use the following website for track updates: https://whps.info/track The kids were given business cards like this on Monday at practice, and while we are sure they are all hanging on their refrigerators at home, here is a digital copy. The website will be updated as we know more. GO HUSKIES!

We will be taking a 9th-12th grade Student Body Fan Bus to the Boys’ District Final Basketball game held at Grand Island Central Catholic High School tomorrow, Wednesday, March 5th. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM. We will dismiss students riding the bus at 2:45 PM and will plan on departing at 3:00 PM. If your student wishes to ride the fan bus, we will need you to send them to school tomorrow with a signed note saying you give them permission to ride the bus. Turn the note into the office. If the bus exceeds its capacity, we will give preference to upperclassmen and those that turned in their permission notes early. There are NO concessions at the game due to Ash Wednesday being observed at GICC. We ask that all students bring $5 and we will call ahead and order pizza to be picked up and eaten on the bus after the game. Students will want to bring something to drink and possibly a snack for the ride down. We hope to have a loud and fun student section to cheer on our boys! Reach out to Mr. Havranek via email if you have any questions. His email is codhavranek@westholt.org.
