The third grade are getting their room decorated for Thanksgiving!

On Thursday, November 7th the Elementary School had their annual Reading Fun Night. The Edgerton Explorit Center from Aurora, NE brought many hands-on learning exhibits. Children of all ages enjoyed exploring the exhibits from instruments to electrical charges. The Center also had an "Arctic Blast" demonstration. The Edgerton Explorit Center exists to instill and nurture in all people the joy of scientific discovery and exploration through hands-on learning experiences. A huge thank you to those who came to support our students in their reading journey! Your involvement makes a big difference in building their confidence and love for reading. Yesterday, the West Holt chorus had the privilege of singing with the GNAC Conference Choir. We brought 14 of our choir members to Summerland, and they were able to practice all day directed by Celeste Ditter, the Columbus Middle School vocal instructor. The concert was comprised of individual choir pieces, with West Holt singing "Bless the Broken Roads," the full choir for four songs, and then an honor choir piece featuring the following students from West Holt: David Armstrong, Maria Mora Gallardo, and Alyssa Dobias.
