The new gravel parking lot south of the school can now be used! There are 4 light poles that were installed earlier this week. The poles were set and measured so that vehicles can be parked like the diagram below. Vehicles can line up so the front of their vehicle is in line with the new poles forming a line of cars to the east/west. This leaves plenty of room for a driving lane behind the vehicles. There is also enough room for a line of cars to park on the north edge of the gravel with the front of the car just off of the cement lot. The far east side of the gravel lot is reserved for overflow parking and the area just west of the dumpsters is to be left as a driving lane.

Before we began our next novel, "Lord of the Flies," the sophomores were given a chance to work in groups to see if they'd survive on an island together. They had to work together to discuss through a series of questions and situations to see where their priorities were in order to be rescued.
