Mrs. Pistulka's first grade class enjoyed having a guest reader. Read-alouds in elementary school help support a child's literacy journey by building vocabulary, modeling fluency, and improving comprehension, while also developing a love for reading.

The 4th grade class hosted Christmas Around the World for the entire elementary school before Christmas break. Students visited several countries and learned about the unique traditions celebrated in each one. Along the way, they created crafts, enjoyed delicious snacks, and had a great time traveling the world!

Pre-K got in the festive spirit before break by learning about the Gingerbread Man. We read different stories about gingerbread men, girls, cowboys, and even ninjas, then cooked up some gingerbread Playdoh and put our creativity to work by making our own gingerbread creations!
