WH Seniors Attend Supreme Court Cases
Thirteen seniors from West Holt traveled to O’Neill Public Schools on Thursday, April 28th to observe the Nebraska State Supreme Court cases. Students from the area were able to listen to two different cases. One was a 2nd degree murder case and the other was about whether or not a business contract was binding or not.
Students went through security screenings, listened to the different sides of each case and then were able to ask questions of the 7-judge panel. The judges gave the students advice about how to pursue careers in law. They also answered questions from students about a typical day as a Nebraska Supreme Court Judge, funny things they have witnessed in the courtroom and what they like to do in their spare time.
