West Holt students traveled to O’Neill to participate in a Career Event hosted by AKRS. It took place on Wednesday, January 17th from 9AM-12PM. The event was designed to expose students with mechanical and technical inclination, an interest in active hands-on type of work, and/or an interest in agriculture get to know more about AKRS and the many different career opportunities within AKRS.
The event included stations where students learned about Precision Ag, AKRS, Mechanical aptitude, the John Deer Ag Tech Program, and the Jump Start Scholarship. Students were treated to lunch and left with lots of AKRS merchandise including hats, bags, playing cards.
Students who attended were: Nick Hansen, Cole Poessnecker, Kyle Schmidt, Beau Duhachek, Oliver Shane, Trayton Olson and AJ Pospichal.
West Holt Public Schools will have a 10am late start Friday, January 19th. No morning preschool. Stay safe and warm!!
Mr. Neptune left a tournament off the Varsity BB schedule. on February 10th the 9/10 tournament will be at West Holt with 1st games starting at 9:00am, for both boys and girls.
Soup on Friday
Soup Supper this Friday, January 19th during the West Holt vs. EPPJ Basketball games. Serving will begin at 5pm and go until gone. This is a FREE Will offering.
Finally! Today was the day the 4th graders received their recorders! I will now make the apology to the parents and siblings of said 4th graders. Let the learning begin!
