Information from Loup City for tomorrow's tournament We have street construction in front of the school. Please be sure your teams/buses use 7th street and park, unload on the east side of the school. Patrons will need to use 9th street and then come to the school to get to the north parking lot. West Holt juniors and seniors traveled to O'Neill to participate in a college fair hosted at the high school on Friday, Oct 10th. Students were able to talk with representatives from various colleges in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota. There were also vendors from the Nebraska National Guard and trade schools such as Xenon.

In 8th grade math we like to change things up every once in a while. We all get bored with the same routine sometimes, so doing activities like task cards is another way to practice new concepts.

Mondays Jh FB game begins at 4:00 and the JV game at 6:00

West Holt is bringing home some CHAMPIONSHIPS from the GNAC Conference Cross Country Meet! High school girls and junior high boys were TEAM CHAMPIONS! Kellen Monasterio was INDIVIDUAL CONFERENCE HIGH SCHOOL BOYS CHAMPION! Liam Langan was the INDIVIDUAL JUNIOR HIGH BOYS CHAMPION! Felycia Kerkman was INDIVIDUAL HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS RUNNER UP! Other medalists included Anel Monasterio in 12th, Kearsten Keogh in 8th, and Ava Hoffman in 7th for the high school girls. Camry Deseive was 6th for the junior high girls. Elian Ramos was 10th and Giovanni Monasterio was 4th for the junior high boys. Seniors Ava and Anel captured their 4th consecutive conference team title!

West Students and staff participated in Alumni Day on Wednesday, October 8th. Teachers and Staff (PK-12) displayed a pennant or poster from the school they have a technical, associates, grad, undergrad or any degree from. This provided a chance to brag, tell stories and share with students their experiences when they were in college. It was a great way for students to hear about why it is important to get some sort of post-secondary training/education. Staff promoted all sorts of training – not just 4-year degrees. All training after high school – military, 2-year schools, 4-year schools, apprenticeships were promoted. Students were able to fill out a college trivia sheet to earn a candy bar - provided by the West Holt Booster Club. Questions included what their plans following high school were as well as various questions about college in general.

The sixth graders have been writing their “I Am From” poems! From family traditions to favorite memories, they captured the people, places, and moments that shape who they are. This is one of my favorite projects!

There will be a send-off for the girls golfers tomorrow, Fri, Oct 10th at 3:10 PM in the HS Gym. Good Luck to the girls golfers at State Golf next week!

Both Mrs. Roemer's and Mrs. Frickel's Kindergarteners had a blast on their field trip to Helgoth's Pumpkin Patch!

DISTRICT CHAMPS! The girls golfers were district champs in Wayne today shooting a 365 team score! Golfers medaling were Ansley-8th, Brinley-4th, and Daleni was the individual district champion! The golfers will compete at the state tournament next Monday and Tuesday in North Platte.
