Junior High Science classes have spent this week learning and reviewing how to use lab equipment to gather scientific data. Students measured temperature, mass, length, and volume for a variety of objects.
Yesterday at the Ainsworth Cross Country Meet, the Junior High girls were MEET CHAMPIONS and the High School Girls finished as Meet Runner-Up. Medalists were:
JH Girls: 10th-Emma Peek, 6th-Eisley Mlady, 5th - Sadie Keogh, and 2nd-Leah Pistulka
HS Girls: 20th-Rylee Poessnecker, 18th-Hannah Olson, 15th-Emersyn Mlady, 13th-Anel Monasterio, 8th-Ava Hoffman, 7th-Felycia Kerkman, 3rd-Maddie Davis
HS Boys: 17th - Alex Gotschall, 10th - Carter Gotschall, 2nd - Drew Martin
Congrats to the West Holt Girls Golf team on their runner-up finish today at their own Invite! They showed a lot of grit as they worked through some windy conditions. Individual medals: Daleni Knust 1st, Brinley Kerkman 9th, Abby Mathis 10th & Madi Hilkemeier 15th.
AAC Flag Football signups have been sent home with all 3-6 students today! If you are interested, please bring them back tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest. First practice is Thursday, September 7th.

Last spring, K-6 students worked on some collaborative projects so that we would have colorful artwork for the halls as soon as school started. Check it out!

Concessions- A full concessions stand will be made available.
Admission- Adults-$6 Students-$5 Kids 4 and under-Free Senior citizens (65+)-Free
Cheerleaders are admitted free if in uniform.

Welcome Home Blake! After earning his degree in Electronic Media from Wayne State College, 2018 West Holt graduate Blake Hilkemeier has returned to Atkinson and has already been contributing to the community in several ways. Blake is a news writer/photographer for the Atkinson Graphic and also runs their Facebook page. He is working with the Yearbook staff to collaborate on photo coverage of events and he is writing articles that cover school events. His other roles also include assistant Girls Golf Coach and he will be helping with One Acts this year.

XC 3 team champions at the Burwell Meet, Girls Golf taking the team championship at the Ainsworth Golf Tournament, and to cap it off the VolleyBall team beating Elkhorn Valley and Summerland to start their season off.
