Welcome to the 2016-17 school year! I know it is cliche' to say, but where did the summer go? I love school, but I sure do love summer! Right now I am enjoying the bounty of my garden as well as thinking of the fun ahead in my classroom.
Throughout the year I hope to update this blog frequently to let you know what is going on in my classroom. While my intentions are good, I am sure this will prove challenging as activities move into full force. I hope to share experiences we are having along with rationale behind certain academic approaches. Because I teach juniors and seniors, we begin to look at how things will be done in college. We begin to have "college" type projects, and we certainly begin to write "college" type papers.
Please feel free to email me or Pass-a-Note on Sycamore if you have questions or concerns. I prefer electronic communication to a phone call as it is difficult for me to get to the phone during the school day. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible.
So, here we go . . .
