West Holt C Volleyball Team Brings Home the Championship Trophy

The West Holt C Volleyball team traveled to Ainsworth on Monday, October 17th to participate in a C Team Tournament with Burwell, Valentine and Ainsworth. In Game 1, Ainsworth played Valentine, Game 2 featured West Holt vs. Burwell. Game 3 was a consolation match between Valentine and Burwell and Game 4 was the Championship Match between West Holt and Ainsworth.
In the opening C game, West Holt beat Burwell in 2 dominating sets: 25-14 and 25-10. Scoring points for the Lady Huskies were: Monica Chavez with 10 points (1 ace), Cadey Schaaf with 7 points (1 ace), Madalyn Pistulka with 7 points (1 ace), Taylor Walnofer with 4 points, Leah Fritz with 3 points (1 ace) and Pavan Larson with 1 point (1 ace). The win placed them in the championship match vs home team, Ainsworth.
In the championship match, West Holt was too much for Ainsworth, the Lady Huskies beat the Lady Bulldogs in two sets: 25-17, 25-11 to brought home the champion from the tournament. This marks the end of the season for the West Holt C team. Leading scorers for West Holt were: Pavan Larson with 9 points (5 aces), Taylor Walnofer with 7 points (3 aces), Leah Fritz with 6 points (5 aces), Monica Chavez with 5 points (3 aces), Madalyn Pistulka with 5 points (1 ace), and Adrianna Mincer with 1 point.
Members of the championship team were: Leah Fritz, Madalyn Pistulka, Nora Gil, Taylor Walnofer, Monica Chavez, Cadey Schaaf, Maria Mora Gallardo, Pavan Larson, and Adrianna Mincer.
Good things are happening with the West Holt volleyball program. The C team finishes their season at 6-1 while the JV team finishes the year at an impressing 18-1.
