West Holt Volleyball at Arcadia/Loup City Tournament

The West Holt Lady Husky Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Loup City on Saturday, October 8th for an eight team, seeded tournament with Arcadia/Loup City (#8 seed), Ravenna (#4 seed), Centura (#1 seed), Gibbon (#7 seed), Sandhills Thedford (#5 seed), South Loup (Arnold/Callaway) (#3 seed) and Fullerton (#2 seed) .
In their first game, West Holt (#6 seed) played #3 seed South Loup and fought hard to earn the win in three sets: 27-25, 17-25 and 25-23. Scoring for the Huskies were Kimberly Wettlaufer with 9 points, Ainsley Galyen with 6 points (4 aces), Abby Davis with 6 points (2 aces), Maci Nemetz with 6 points (1 ace), EmiLee Walnofer with 2 points (1 ace).

Next up for West Holt was the #2 seed, Fullerton. The Lady Warriors were too much for the Lady Huskies beating them in 2 sets: 25-22, 25-15. Leading scorers were: Ainsley Galyen with 4 points (1 ace), Lainey Smith with 4 points, EmiLee Walnofer with 3 points, Kimberly Wettlaufer with 2 points and Abby Davis with 1 point. The loss put them in the game for 3rd/4th place.

In their 3rd match of the day, West Holt faced the #4 seed, Ravenna. Points were exchanged in the close match but Ravenna was able to take home 3rd place beating West Holt in 3 sets: 25-23, 20-25, 21-25.
