On Saturday, September 24 th the lady huskies headed to Laurel for a seven team meet. The meet included Wayne, Laurel-Coleridge-Concord, Battle Creek, West Holt, Crofton, Elkhorn Valley, and Tri-County Northeast. Wayne won the meet with an impressive score of 383. They edged out LCC by only two strokes. West Holt finished in fourth place and missed out on third place by just one stroke to
Battle Creek.
Individually, the medalist honors went to Sarah Kames with a low score of 79. She won by ten strokes over second place. Catarina Ketteler led the huskies with a 7 th place 101. Abby missed medaling by a few strokes and finished in 16 th with a 108. Brooklynn Butterfield shot a 111 and Brianna Anderson shot a 112. The team was rounded out by a 131 by Aubrei Clouse. That was a personal low for her. The huskies will head to Cairo on Thursday for their final regular season meet and then will play districts at Wayne Country Club on Tuesday, October 4.
