Kerkman Takes Ninth at Laurel

West Holt traveled to Laurel Invitational over the weekend to play against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, Wayne, Crofton, Elkhorn Valley, and Battle Creek. Although the sun stayed hidden all day, the players had an enjoyable day in the 70’s to compete.
In the team competition, West Holt shot a 456 on Saturday. Fellow district competition, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge shot a team score of 379 to beat out runner-up Battle Creek.
There were medals for the top ten individuals. It was a very competitive meet, even with a small field. Top team Laurel-Concord-Coleridge earned five of the top ten finishes. Leading the Huskies, senior Reghan Kerkman shot a 101 to earn ninth. Five strokes behind her, Jordyn Laible just missed placing with a 106. Landyn Mlady shot a 119 and Brynn Hilkemeier shot another career low with a 130.
