2020 Husky Golfers Travel to Albion

ALBION – NE, West Holt headed to Albion over the weekend to compete in the Boone Central Invitational. The tournament included many teams that West Holt has not faced this season. There were thirteen teams: Battle Creek, Boone Central, Cedar Catholic, Clarkson-Leigh, Columbus Lakeview, Columbus Scotus, O’Neill, Pierce, Stanton, Shelby-Rising City, Wayne, and West Holt.

Boone Central won team honors again over the weekend. They broke 400 with a 394 to edge out Columbus Lakeview by eight strokes. West Holt did not have a team score.

    West Holt was led by junior Landyn Mlady. Mlady shot a 108 to tie her career low score as well as tie for 15th. There was a five-way tie for 15th and Landyn lost the scorecard playoff. Jordyn Laible took 26th with a 112. The team was rounded out with Brynn Hilkemeier with a 146. Abby Brodersen of Boone Central won medalist honors with an 82 on her home course.

T    he huskies will be very busy this week as they head into the last stretch of the golf season before districts. West Holt travels to Valentine on the 23rd and hosts a triangular on the 24th at Atkinson-Stuart Country Club. On the 26th, the ladies compete in Laurel and then head to O’Neill on the 28th for a triangular.
