West Holt Huskies vs Ord

ORD- The West Holt Lady Husky C, JV and Varsity teams traveled to Ord Thursday, September 17th.
In the “C” game, West Holt lost in two close sets: 21-25, 22-25. Leading scorers for the Lady Huskies were: Hadleigh Stracke with 15 points and 7 ace serves, Cadey Schaaf with 5 points and 1 ace serve, Miya Carey with 3 points and 2 ace serves and Catarina Ketteler with 1 point.
In junior varsity action, the Lady Huskies lost to the Lady Chants in two sets: 10-25 and 6-25. Leading scorers for West Holt were: Lana Hooey with 1 point and 1 ace serve, Sidney Burkinshaw with 1 point, Addie Karo with 1 point and Alexis Stracke with 1 point.
In the varsity match, Ord was too much for West Holt, beating the Lady Huskies in three sets: 11-25, 19-25 and 14-25. Leading behind the serving line for West Holt were: Olivia Micheel with 7 points, Kevona Brown with 3 points and 1 ace serve, Lainey Smith with 3 points and 3 ace serves, EmiLee Walnofer with 1 point and Maci Nemetz with 1 point and 1 ace serve.
“We did some really good things against a strong Ord team. I am very pleased with our effort, attitude and team mentality. Ord is a very strong team and we were able to take them out of their game, at times. We have improved aspects of our game, every time we face a new opponent. We are a young, inexperienced team and are headed in the right direction.” Head Coach Teresa Ruppert stated about the Ord game.
