Volleyball Results from the Burwell Triangular

The West Holt Lady Huskies traveled to Burwell Thursday, September 3rd for matches with Burwell and North Central. The JV and Varsity both had matches simultaneously vs the Lady Knights of North Central beginning at 6 PM in the Burwell Elementary School. In junior varsity action, West Holt was not able to get much going and lost the match in two sets 7-25 and 11-25. Kelcie Osborne led the Lady Huskies behind the serving line with 3 points, while Brittany Beckwith and Lana Hooey each scored 2 points. Sidney Burkinshaw added in the effort and scored 1.
In varsity action, the Lady Huskies came out flat at the 6 PM game versus the Lady Knights losing in two sets: 15-25, 19-25. Maci Nemetz had a great game behind the serving line, leading West Holt with 9 points in that match, Kamry Neptune and Lainey Smith (2 ace serves) each added 2 points and Kevona Brown and EmiLee Walnofer each added a point.

In their 2nd game of the night, West Holt JV took on host, Burwell JV, losing in two sets: 11-25, 12-25. Leading scores for West Holt were Madison Ruda with 4 points, Abby Mathis with 2 points, Miya Carey with 1 point, Katelyn Kratz with 1 point, Mackenzie Kaup with 1 point and Hadleigh Stracke also with 1 point.
West Holt varsity squad took on home team, Burwell and had a tough time getting things going. West Holt lost the match 15-25, 11-25. Leading scorers for West Holt were EmiLee Walnofer with 3 points (1 ace), Kamry Neptune with 3 points and Maci Nemetz with 2 point (2 aces).
