The West Holt golfers kicked off their season started on August 10 th as the season opened
across the state for all fall sports. The girls are excited to get out in tournaments and get the
opportunity to compete and show off their talents. Four girls are out for the 2020 season. There
will be some experience coming back this season with three varsity members returning.
The lady huskies are led by seniors Reghan Kerkman and Jordyn Laible. Reghan is
coming back for her fourth season and has been a varsity starter all three previous years. She
brings experience and leadership to the team. Her knowledge of courses throughout the season
will play a vital role for her teammates. Fellow senior teammate Jordyn Laible is coming back
for her third season. She has been a varsity member for the last two seasons and is also bringing
familiarity to the team. Jordyn narrowly missed state qualification last season. Returning for a
second season is junior Landyn Mlady. She will have a year of experience under her belt and will
be looking forward to compete at a high level with her teammates. There is also a new member
on the team, junior Brynn Hilkemeier. Brynn rounds out the team for the lady huskies.
The huskies will be competing soon on Thursday, August 20 in O’Neill at their season
opening invitational. Please come out and cheer on the ladies. We will be competing locally at
Atkinson-Stuart Country Club twice this fall. At this time, the district assignment and date has
not been determined.
