Scholarships - Please visit the  "Local Scholarships" button on our page to see what is available.  If a scholarship says "OPEN", it means it is a NEW application, if not, updated materials (application/information) will be available at a later date.   


Education Quest Foundation-  is a nonprofit organization with a mission to improve access to higher education for Nebraska high school students.  The following are resources and services they provide.

         *Videos will walk you through the financial aid process.
Scholarships and ScholarshipQuest 
Contact the colleges you arei interested in and talk to the financial aid department about possible scholarships you may apply for.  Some schools have a “priority” date to apply by to give the applicant various advantages.  Local scholarship opportunities are listed on the "LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS" tab.   All opportunities we are aware of will be listed on the website, emailed or copied for students.

The ACT Test- Use the link www.actstudent.org/start to view ACT dates and registration deadlines.  Students can take the ACT at West Holt on the December and April test dates.  O'Neill will host the Oct, Feb, and June dates.  Students can take the ACT up to 12 times.  A higher ACT score means MORE SCHOLARSHIP MONEY!.  See the John Baylor Test Prep page for help in preparing for the ACT.  If a student is on the free/reduced lunch program, they can receive a waiver to cover the cost of the ACT.  See the Mrs. Ruppert for waiver information.
John Baylor ACT Test Prep  Go to http://www.ontocollege.com to preview the best ACT Prep on the market today.  West Holt covers the cost of registration and provides a study manual to go with the online videos.  Any student who wants to increase their chances of getting into the school of their choice and more scholarship help should take the time to go through the twelve 45 minute videos.  Contact Mrs. Ruppert for your user name and password.  The best results will come from following the three week schedule leading up to the ACT test date.
