Elementary Principal

Teamwork, focused drive towards improving education, and dedication towards “The Husky Way” are just a few reasons that new elementary principal, Mrs. Tracy Larson, accepted the position at West Holt Schools. “In the short time my family and I have been in the community and school, I can tell that the town of Atkinson and West Holt Schools take great pride in their community and school. There is so much enthusiasm about the education and activities that go on here, and it’s contagious. I’m very exited to get the opportunity to be apart of Team Husky and help continue the strong tradition of excellence. There is a great staff in place at West Holt, and I look forward to getting the opportunity to work with them, learn from them, and help lead them in educating our children.”

Mrs. Larson has spent the last 13 years at Elkhorn Valley Schools in Tilden as the K-12 media specialist, athletic and activities director, and assistant volleyball and track coach. She is a Pierce native and a 2003 graduate of Concordia University with a degree in Instructional Technology, and she will receive her second Masters degree in Education Leadership in December 2018. Mrs. Larson, her husband, Trevor, have been married for 18 years and have two children, Ian and Pavan. Their son, Ian, will be in eighth grade, and their daughter, Pavan, will be a fifth grader at West Holt Schools. The Larson’s are eager to become active members of the community and settle into their new home in Atkinson. Their family enjoys al sporting activities, participating in 4-H, and spending time with friends and family.
